Back when I was in high school, I was fortunate to travel throughout Europe with my family. During my travels there, I discovered H&M. My mom and I would visit the store almost every day (if we had a chance) and purchase gifts for our family members as well as clothing for ourselves. Ever since then, I became obsessed with the store, not only for the fashion but for the quality of the clothing. So you can imagine the excitement when H&M opened its first store in Cape Town. I visit the store regularly as H&M caters for every fashion style. Recently I stumbled upon their #HMFALLINLOVE campaign.
The new collection – #HMFALLINLOVE – shows a glam version of the contemporary 70’s tendency that pervades the entire season. Basic Essentials clothes dressed up in a more conspicuous way. A combination of elegant ease and a cool rock mood keep the mood sexy, glamorous and light-hearted.
I teamed up with H&M and Tegan Smith to do my first photoshoot for my blog. I had to choose 7 items from the #HMFALLINLOVE collection at the Waterfront store and create 2-3 outfits with the items I chose. The items I chose are especially for women with curves, as I am curvy and dress according to my body type.
With beautiful surroundings and strong gushes of wind, we completed the shoot.
I am in love with the new #HMFALLINLOVE collection from H&M and here are the 3 outfits/looks I created.
I paired this shirt dress, with a wool hat, black tights and suede (ankle) boots. This was my favourite look, I love a shirt dress, its so versatile, you can wear it on its own, with stockings or a tights, over a jeans or under a skirt.
I love the warm shade of this orange shirt paired with a flared high jeans, a perfect combination for us curvy shaped women.
I paired this beautiful culotte ( knee-length trousers, cut with full legs to resemble a skirt) with a basic essential black top. The jacket and shoes are my own.
All the items from the #HMFALLINLOVE are available at the V&A Waterfront store.
What’s your favourite look from the #HMFALLINLOVE collection?
Love and light,
