Skincare favourites from The Body Shop

Hello lovelies. Today I am sharing some of my favourite skincare products from The Body Shop. I have expressed my love for The Body Shop in the past (view here) and am convinced that I have half of the store in my cupboard. Today we are focusing on my current skincare favourites: Vitamin E Hydrating Face Mist, Vitamin C Glow Revealing Liquid Peel, Almond Milk and Honey Body Butter and the Brazilian cupuacu scrub-in-oil.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Hydrating Face Mist

Skincare favourites from The Body Shop Vitamin E Face Mist

Ever since I purchased the face mist, I’ve been using it every single day. I have eczema on the sides of my nose, which burn like hell and always leave a trail of dry skin on the side of my nose. This product is my saving grace! Not only has it helped with moistening my skin, but it also helps to calm my skin. If you sit in an air-conditioned office, the face mist is a must have product. The nifty little bottle fits into any size handbag.

The scent of the face mist is absolutely divine; a subtle scent of rosewater lingers on your face after spraying it. It takes approximately one minute to settle onto your skin. After my skin is moisturised, I usually spray 2 pumps onto my face and neck (I still get a fright every time I spray it onto my face ha ha ha). If I am wearing make-up, I spray the spritzer after I apply my makeup for a dewy look. I love the end result; it moistens my skin and helps to set my makeup (Tip: Spray the face mist directly on your beauty sponge for a dewy look). The 100ml bottle retails for R140.00.

The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Revealing Liquid Peel

Skincare favourites from The Body Shop Vitamin C Liquid Face Peel

I’ve been using the glow-revealing liquid peel for a month and I absolutely love it. Simply put, this is officially my favourite skincare product right now! Exfoliating your skin is important because it removes dead skin cells. You have to exfoliate your skin regularly, even if you using the most expensive products, it will not work effectively if you not exfoliating. The liquid peel is less harsh than other exfoliators and does not contain abrasive ingredients.

How does it work? You apply 1-2 pumps of the liquid peel onto your dry skin and massage for 20 seconds. Initially it feels like liquid on your skin, but after massaging it clumps start appearing. I leave it on for 5 minutes, rinse it thoroughly and moisturise immediately after use. Currently I am using it twice a week; my skin has looks refreshed and healthy with a natural glow (without the help of a highlighter or make up products). The liquid peel retails for R175.00

The Body Shop Almond Milk and Honey Body Butter

Skincare favourites from The Body Shop Almond and Milk Honey Body Butter

Body Body from The Body Shop

I literally want to put my face in this Almond Milk and Honey body butter from The Body Shop. I’ve tried all of their body butters and this has to be one of my favourites. The Almond milk and honey is ideal for sensitive and dry skin. I don’t suffer from dry skin during summer, and tend to use body lotions, as the texture is lighter. However, I cannot get myself to stop using this body butter since I’ve received it. It feels luxurious on my skin and I adore the sweet fragrance. Having said that, I am sensitive to strong scents (I get headaches very easily from certain fragrances) and this scent may be abit too strong for me. Therefore I only use it on my lower body but I still love it! The body butter absorbs very easily and doesn’t leave a sticky residue. It is made with almond milk from Spain and hand harvested honey from Ethiopia. No dry skin here! The 200ml retails for R170.00

The Body Shop Brazilian cupuacu scrub-in-oil

Brazilian cupuacu scrub-in-oil from The Body Shop

Brazilian cupuacu scrub-in-oil

There are so many reasons why I love the Brazilian cupuacu scrub-in-oil! The best part of the scrub-in-oil is that it allows you to choose your level of exfoliation. When you purchase the scrub-in-oil, you will notice the layer of oil on top of the container. The top layer of oil can also be used to exfoliate your skin, especially on days when you need a light exfoliation. On days when you need a thorough exfoliation, you use more crystal salt than oil.

I use more oil when I need a light exfoliation, especially after I’ve shaved/waxed as my skin tends to be sensitive. On any other day, when I need a thorough exfoliation, I use more salt crystals than oil. My skin glows after the exfoliation, whether I used more oil or crystal salts. The smell of the scrub-in-oil will put anyone in a good mood. I absolutely adore this scrub-in-oil! I think every woman needs it. The Body Shop Brazilian cupuacu scrub-in-oil retails for R330.00
