From the ancient to the modern, Rome is a haven for culture-seekers and adventure-lovers everywhere. Follow Audrey Hepburn’s steps in Roman Holiday and visit the Trevi Fountain – just make sure that you don’t try to get into the fountain as you will find yourself pulled out by very disgruntled policemen!
Getting out of the busy city is a great way to explore the surrounding region and also get some quality snaps that are not full of tourists! If you are willing to rent a car (or go on a guided tour), then Pompeii and Naples are only a 2 ½ hour drive from Rome and are two of the most fascinating historical places in the whole of Italy. It is also possible to visit the volcano responsible for destroying Pompeii in 79AD. Vesuvius is still an active volcano though, so you might want to check if there are any eruption warnings before you go and get a picture at the top of it!
Prague, Czech Republic
The city of a hundred spires, Prague is nestled right in the heart of Europe and looks every inch the bohemian charmer that it is. The birthplace of Franz Kafka, Prague is an old-fashioned, cobblestoned city which oozes culture and history from its every pore.
One of the most unusual things to do in Prague, and definitely one of the most Instagrammable, is going to a Beer Spa! So, if bathing in a bath of beer whilst sipping on unlimited amounts (from another keg) sounds like your idea of a good time, then this has to be on your list of things to do!
No list of European Insta-worthy places would be complete without mentioning Paris. After all, Paris is the city of dreams, the city of love and, of course, the City of Lights.
The list of Instagram-musts is a long one; including the Eiffel Tower, Champs-Élysées, Notre Dame, the Lourve, Versaille (just outside of Paris), the Arc de Triomphe and the Moulin Rouge. When visiting Paris’ most popular tourist attractions, make sure that you book your tickets in advance, or you could end waiting in a line for the better part of a day! Although the most famous spots in Paris are wonderful, they are also incredibly popular, which means one thing – tourists! Finding the perfect spot to take your photo in front of the Eiffel Tower without intruding tourists can be a serious challenge. However, there is something beautiful and unique around every corner of Paris, with its often twisting and winding streets, so you never know what you are going to find!
